I was googling the name Marilyn Bell and came across your video of your reading of the Marilyn Bell plaque in her park shortly before your attempt across the lake.
I am not sure whether you made it across successfully, but if only to have the courage to even attempt those icey waters already makes you a hero!
I pray you make it safely across and thanks for the video.
I was actually there back in 1984 when the park was dedicated to Marilyn. As a matter of fact, Marilyn had her whole family there and it was a great day for us all. I am Marilyn's youngest daughter!

http://swimtoendpolio.ca/blog/marilyn-bell-park-seeing-the-finish-line/#PageComment_33 Congratulations on an amazing swim of over 7 hours in Lake Ontario. The threatening 2 metre waves may have stopped the swim but will not affect the drive to end polio. Great work Thie!
God bless.
Love Ma
